1. General Conditions
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all members, visitors, and users of Polmont Sports Centre facilities.
1.2 By entering the premises or booking activities, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Polmont Sports Centre reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be displayed on-site and on our website.
2. Access
2.1 Users must check in at reception on arrival.
2.2 Polmont Sports Centre reserves the right to refuse admission for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms.
3. Health & Safety
3.1 Users must comply with all health and safety rules, signage, and volunteer instructions.
3.2 Use of facilities is at your own risk. If you have a medical condition, consult your doctor before participating in physical activity.
3.3 Appropriate sportswear and footwear must be worn at all times.
3.4 Alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicants are strictly prohibited. Users suspected of being under the influence may be refused entry.
3.5 Personal belongings remain the responsibility of the user. Lockers are available, but Polmont Sports Centre accepts no liability for loss or damage.
4. Use of Facilities
4.1 Facilities must be used for their intended purpose only.
4.2 Users must treat equipment and spaces with care and report any damage or faults immediately.
4.3 Bookings must be made in advance where required. No-shows or late cancellations may be charged.
4.4 Time limits for activities (e.g., gym equipment, courts, sessions) must be respected.
4.5 Food and drink (except water) must not be consumed in activity areas unless authorised by the Polmont Sports Centre Community Group (e.g., birthday parties, events).
5. Children & Young People
5.1 Children under 5 must be supervised by a responsible adult unless attending a supervised session or class.
5.2 Parents/guardians remain responsible for their children at all times.
5.3 Volunteers are not responsible for unsupervised children outside organised activities.
6. Behaviour
6.1 All users must show respect for volunteers, other members, and the facilities.
6.2 Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or permanent exclusion.
6.3 Misuse of facilities or deliberate damage may result in liability for repair costs.
7. Data Protection
7.1 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
7.2 Information will only be used for managing bookings and ensuring health and safety compliance.
8. Liability
8.1 Polmont Sports Centre is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from use of the facilities unless caused by our negligence or breach of statutory duty.
8.2 Groups are advised to arrange their own public liability insurance and ensure appropriate PVG checks and first aid qualifications.
9. Complaints
9.1 Complaints should be submitted in writing to the Trustees.
9.2 We will acknowledge complaints within 10 working days and aim to provide a full response within 20 working days.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
